Favorite Phrases

Everyonce in a while, a phrase comes along that strikes my fancy, and it seems so appropo for certain situations. For example, a few years ago, many men seemed to be enamored of the Budweiser call: Whaaaaaaazzzuuup. To me, and many other women, it was annoying and rather juvenile. No matter, it was “THE” buzz phrase for many occassions, although, you can be sure, it was never heard coming out of my mouth, but I digress…
This summer, our (me, Delegatrix, and Ziggy) favorite phrase was taken from a Toyota commercial where two kids were in the Toyota crash lab with ‘Bob’, a safety engineer, crashing, what else? Toyota vehicles. The kids had such a ball, and really got into the whole smash ’em up thing. A kid says “Do the gold one, Bob!” And Bob says “It’s Desert Sand Mica!”. And the kid says “Whatever, just crash it!”
“Whatever, just crash it!” became our mantra when people went on and on, and could not make a decision. Four words, very effective and sure to put a smile on our faces.
Our latest favorite phrase was embraced on my birthday. While out to dinner, we decided a phrase by Cartman of South Park fame was the perfect way to end the day, and evening, what have you. What is that phrase we’ve adopted? Glad you asked, its an elegant little 6 word phrase, that says it all:
Screw you guys, I’m goin’ home…
Hmm, wonder what the new crop of holiday ads will spawn…
